Congratulations to all the squad on lifting their first trophy at the Chesterfield Town JFC tournament on Sunday 12th June.
Greenhill fielded 2 teams at the event and at the end of the group stage, both sides had topped their respective leagues - with an unbeaten record over 7 games and having scored 16 goals and conceded just 4 - with both teams having qualified we decided not to play the 'final' but to share the victory across the whole squad.
The players were strong and robust when they needed to be and creative and skilful when the opportunity arose - once again they all showed a great team ethic throughout by taking on roles and responsibilities they were not accustomed to for the good of their team. The passing football played by the boys was a joy to watch and was commended by opposition and spectators.
Well played Greenhill a thoroughly deserved first trophy!

In their first season together as a team the U7s can take a great deal of pride in their performances throughout. Across the year the term has been warmly complimented by their opponents on their energy, enthusiasm and ever improving passing game, which coupled with similar warm praise for the conduct of our parents and spectators has provided all involved with a fantastic first experience of junior football.
We look forward to the 2011-12 season as U8s with great expectation
